• Commercial Arbitrator – International and Domestic proceedings
Ian has conducted many domestic commercial arbitrations. He has been appointed as a sole arbitrator and panel member in international arbitrations. He is a Fellow of ACICA and a panel member of HKIAC, KLRCA and CIETAC.
• Mediator for Construction, Technical and Commercial matters
He has conducted over 150 mediations in commercial and construction disputes including references of proceedings in the New South Wales Supreme Court and District Court.
• Expert Determiner – Construction, Technical and Commercial Disputes
Since 2004 Ian has been appointed as an expert determiner of commercial and construction disputes including multi-party disputes and complex construction delay claims and quantification of variation and defective work claims.
