• Construction Law in Australia
The first edition was published by the Law Book Company in 1981. The third Edition was co-authored with Matthew Bell and published in 2011. The Fourth edition is anticipated to be complete by August 2017.
• Understanding Australian Construction Contracts
Co-authored with Matthew Bell and published in 2008. The next edition has been delayed pending completion of the new Standards Australia General Conditions of Contract AS 11000, the Committee responsible for its drafting being Chaired by Ian.

Ian has published many papers on aspects of Construction Law and Dispute Resolution.
